Audi Litigation FAQ

Audi has defrauded gasoline vehicle owners. As a result, the value of these vehicles will likely drop dramatically. Our program allows you to fight back and claim compensation.

In a nutshell, Heygood, Orr & Pearson is offering the choice of a class action against Audi or an individual claim against Audi with full legal representation from us at no upfront or ongoing cost to you.

Our program is aimed at allowing you to choose between 67% of an individual lawsuit settlement and 100% of any class action settlement being offered to you.

So far, we have filed five “mass action” lawsuits on behalf of a total of 528 of our clients. Those lawsuits can be viewed here, here, here, here, and here. To participate in these lawsuits is costing our clients very little time and no out of pocket expense.

Ahead of that telephone assessment conversation, below are the answers to the most common questions:

What is the status of the class action?

Charles Breyer, a federal judge in San Francisco who is presiding over the federal VW diesel lawsuits involving the emissions “defeat devices,” is also handling the Audi CO2 cases. The cases are part of a multi-district litigation, which is commonly referred to as an “MDL.”

Judge Breyer has begun issuing orders designed to organize the litigation. One of HOP’s lawyers, Michael Heygood, was selected by Judge Breyer as one of the attorneys who will be leading the Audi CO2 emissions lawsuits on behalf of U.S. consumers.  So our firm will be leading the efforts to hold Audi accountable for its fraudulent conduct.

In a nutshell what our law firm is offering is the choice of a settlement from either a class action against Audi or an individual claim against Audi with full legal representation from us at no upfront or ongoing cost to you.

If I sign up will I ever have to pay any money out of my own pocket at any time?

No.

If I file an individual claim with HOP will that stop me being part of the class action?

No.

So if I want to take the class action can I take that with no cost to me for your legal fees?

Yes.

So why would I file an individual claim with HOP?

To allow you to choose between an individual lawsuit settlement and a class action settlement.

If you don’t like the class action offer when it comes around you will already have an individual claim filed. You will also have your own lawyer to talk to and control over your own claim that you do not get as a part of a class action.

How will I know what gets me the most money?

When we know what the class action payout will be it is then for you to decide – 100% of the class action payout vs. two-thirds of the likely individual claim payout – whatever puts most in your pocket. At that point you can talk to us and make your own decision. You are in control.

Why is Heygood, Orr & Pearson doing this then?

Because we believe that two-thirds of what we can secure for you through an individual action will be more than the 100% class action offer. If we are wrong about that, you can take the class action offer at no cost to you.
