Audi has announced that it will recall as many as 850,000 diesel vehicles in relation to emissions cheating allegations involving these models. The company stated that it was issuing the recall in order to avoid possible bans on these vehicles over excess emissions caused by a “defeat device” that was installed on these vehicles.
The law firm of Heygood, Orr & Pearson has filed lawsuits against Audi over allegations of CO2 emissions cheating on its gasoline-powered models. The lawsuits were filed on behalf of more than 400 drivers in 43 states who purchased or leased one of the vehicles affected by Audi’s emissions cheating.
